Overview:

This leadership role oversees the entire manufacturing process, ensuring smooth operations, safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You'll provide strategic direction and manage teams in Manufacturing, Safety, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support mid-level managers and supervisors.
  • Ensure quality systems function effectively and achieve product quality.
  • Oversee safety activities and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Manage performance through reports and coaching team members.
  • Implement problem-solving solutions to improve daily operations.
  • Develop and implement a manufacturing strategy to achieve desired results.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Foster a positive work environment and champion change.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5-10 years of managerial experience, preferably in a foundry environment.
  • Experience with Kaizen or continuous improvement methodologies (a plus).
  • Strong understanding of lean principles.
  • Ability to build employee effectiveness and foster open communication.
  • Experience working within a quality operation system.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office setting with significant time spent on the shop floor.
  • Requires safety gear on the production floor.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to talk, hear, handle objects, stand, walk, and reach.
  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus.
