Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Architect to design and manage the data architecture and infrastructure that supports our client's data solutions.


This role will focus on data architecture in the cloud and dimensional data modeling, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and security.


Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Design:

  • Design and implement robust, scalable data architectures using Snowflake (can have experience in Databricks or other tools)
  • Develop and maintain data models, databases, schemas, and data warehouses.
  • Ensure the integrity, availability, and performance of data systems.


Data Integration Pipeline Development:

  • Design and document data integration architecture and solutions.
  • Manage pipelines to move and transform data from various sources to Snowflake.
  • Optimize data integration processes for performance and reliability.


Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on best practices and architectural standards.


Performance Tuning & Optimization:

  • Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, including query performance, storage, optimization, and resource management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data infrastructure.


Data Governance & Security:

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
  • Implement and manage data security measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.


Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all data architecture and processes.
  • Generate reports and present insights to management on data architecture performance and improvements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in software development and designing architecture.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Proven experience with ETL tools and processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Experience with data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, etc.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
