Semiconductor Electrical Assembler/Engineer

Working Hours: 8-5
Job Description:
- Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
- Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
- Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
- May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively read and follow work instructions for proper product assembly.
- Create Problem Correction Reports (PCRs) or redline procedures and inspection instructions; work closely with engineers to resolve issues related to new product introduction such as manufacturability and form, fit, and function for future builds.
- Troubleshoot moderate to highly complex electrical issues within an assembly manufacturing environment.
- Able to work up to 8-hour shifts in a clean room environment wearing PPE (bunny suit, safety glasses, masks, shields, gloves, safety footwear).
- Consistently demonstrate ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities (ex., rework, overtime)
- Willing and able to install components from a working height between 12”-71” and reach into machines to perform tasks.
Experience:
- Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience.
Skills:
- Read and understand electrical schematics for AC and DC circuits.
- Use of a DMM.
- Repair and fabricate cables. (cut wire, solder, shrink tube, crimp etc.)
- Semiconductor capital equipment experience (Nice to have).
- Ability to assemble components into an e-chassis from schematic and kit of parts (Nice to have).
- Ability to develop work instructions (Nice to have).
Education:
- Preferably Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or AA in Electrical Engineering with equivalent experience.
