Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and innovative scientist to join our Protein, Cell, & Structural Sciences Department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, generating, validating, and archiving biological reagents for discovery activities across all our therapeutic modalities. This role will involve cell engineering using CRISPR/Cas systems and the characterization, scaling up, and banking of cell lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a team environment to ensure optimal project delivery.
  • Optimize the cell engineering process and generate/characterize cell reagents as required by program teams.
  • Analyze and summarize experimental or quality control data using various laboratory instruments and computer software.
  • Promptly report results to the team and discuss/execute subsequent steps.
  • Adhere to all data integrity practices, ethics codes, standards, and safety training and practices.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • A master's degree in a life sciences discipline (e.g., cellular/molecular biology, biotechnology).
  • Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture.
  • Proficiency in sequencing (Sanger/NGS), PCR, and nucleic acid prep/analysis.
  • Ability to follow detailed protocols accurately and consistently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong practical knowledge of cell biology and experience with advanced cellular models (iPSC, primary cells, co-culture, and organoids).
  • Experience with genome editing and molecular biology software (e.g., Benchling, SnapGene).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
