**Introduction:**

Our client is a Global Manufacturing company changing the world for consumers We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Analyst with extensive experience in API testing within a web environment to join our dynamic team on a one-year contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of ensuring the functionality, reliability, and performance of web-based applications through rigorous API testing. If you have a passion for quality, a keen eye for detail, and a strong technical background, we want to hear from you.


**Key Responsibilities:**

- **API Testing:** Design, develop, and execute test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIs to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements.

- **Test Automation:** Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, or similar, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

- **Defect Management:** Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools like Jira or Bugzilla. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

- **Test Planning:** Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on API specifications and user stories. Conduct regression testing to verify changes and enhancements.

- **Performance Testing:** Assess the performance, scalability, and reliability of APIs using performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.

- **Documentation:** Maintain detailed and organized documentation for test cases, test results, and defect reports. Prepare status reports and communicate test progress to stakeholders.

- **Collaboration:** Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure quality deliverables.

- **Continuous Improvement:** Stay current with industry trends and best practices in API testing and quality assurance. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.


Qualifications:

**Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on API testing in a web environment.

**Technical Skills:** Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI, etc.), test automation frameworks, and performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

**Programming Knowledge:** Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java for automation purposes.

**Understanding of Web Technologies:** Solid understanding of web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).

**Analytical Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

**Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.

**Tools & Technologies:** Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira), and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus.


Education:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
