Job Description
The DDoS security team is working to build internally a DDoS simulation testing platform that will be used to validate the security of internal and external applications. This solution will simulate DDoS traffic that mimics Volumetric, Asymmetric, and Application attacks and will be sending “malicious” traffic attacks to bring down these systems. The critical components that they are looking for these engineers to have are web application development, reporting capabilities, along the other dev tasks laid out in the JD. Additionally, one of the requirements that will be critical for these engineers to have, is a base understanding of networking basics as well as a conceptual understanding of DDoS as a security attack.
We are seeking a talented developer with a strong background in Python programming database architecture, and application design to join our team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems, ensuring data integrity and efficient performance.
Must-Have Skills:
- Experience designing and maintaining full-stack web applications using Python and relevant frameworks (Django or Flask)
- 6-8 years of experience with Python programming
- Familiarity with implementing API calls
- An understanding of database design principles and SQL
- Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes experience
- Experience with relational databases like SQL server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with deploying to cloud environments
- Experience with ELK stacks
- Basic Understanding of networking
- Understanding of DDoS
Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams to establish application requirements and features
- Utilize Python to interact with various external APIs
- Develop basic UI for interacting with the application
- Automate tasks and processes using scripting languages (Bash, Shell)
- Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and other teams to deliver projects on time
