Senior Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:
- Writing project proposals, defining project scope and documenting system requirements.
- Performing system testing and other project management responsibilities.
- Developing relationships with state government partners at all levels of project teams.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project progression.
- Managing project meetings, preparing reports, maintaining schedules and cost plans.
- Assisting the department with special projects related to the PMO team and portal operations.
- Leading change management processes, including coordination, facilitation, assessment, planning, risk management, execution and testing.
- Delivering regular status updates to key internal/external customers and stakeholders.
- Showing leadership by holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work.
- Building and leading an engaged and empowered project team.
- Championing ongoing process improvements to implement best practices for Agile Project Management and Change Management.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, information systems, business, computer science or equivalent work experience in project management.
- Minimum of five years' experience in project management.
- Preferable experience in implementing web-based applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly flexible and entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to understand and evaluate various technologies and platforms.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
- Proficiency in analyzing business processes and developing a practical and useful system to support them.
- Track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Web Content Management Systems and a plus.
- Working knowledge of JIRA/Confluence is beneficial.
