Optomi, in partnership with a leading managed service security provider is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst to join the team and support the cybersecurity compliance initiatives. This position will focus on ensuring the organization meets the security and regulatory requirements related to industry standards, including PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security frameworks, audit processes, and compliance certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Frameworks & Compliance Management:
- Lead and support the organization’s efforts in implementing and maintaining compliance with security frameworks and standards such as PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST, and others.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the security and compliance requirements for each framework and certification relevant to the business.
- Ensure ongoing adherence to internal security controls and policies aligned with compliance requirements.
Audit Support & Coordination:
- Assist in the preparation, coordination, and execution of internal and external audits related to cybersecurity compliance (e.g., SOC 2 audits, PCI DSS assessments, ISO certifications).
- Facilitate the collection of evidence, documentation, and records required for audits, and support audit teams throughout the audit lifecycle.
- Coordinate with external auditors, internal stakeholders, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth audit processes.
Risk Assessment & Gap Analysis:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and gap analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and compliance with applicable frameworks.
- Identify areas of improvement in the organization’s security posture and recommend corrective actions to mitigate compliance gaps.
- Work closely with technical teams to implement remediation plans and track progress.
Policy Development & Documentation:
- Contribute to the development, review, and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and documentation that support compliance with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and other applicable standards.
- Document and maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, audit findings, and remediation efforts.
Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare regular compliance reports and updates for senior leadership and relevant stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), audit results, and risk mitigation activities.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external auditors or regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications related to specific frameworks such as PCI Professional (PCIP), ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or SOC 2 knowledge are a plus.
- Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CPCU are helpful but not required
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, or risk management with a focus on industry standards and frameworks (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Hands-on experience with compliance audits, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.
- Familiarity with relevant compliance tools, audit tools, and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) software.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and external auditors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and their impact on compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
