A Paralegal with 3+ years' experience in a law practice is needed in Summit, WI. The firm's mission is to provide tailored legal solutions that address the unique needs of clients while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join the team and play a pivotal role in supporting attorneys and clients.
Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Draft, proofread, and organize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
- Coordinate with clients to gather information for estate planning purposes and assist in executing documents.
- Prepare probate forms, petitions, inventories, and accountings.
- Assist in gathering and organizing asset and liability information for estates and trusts.
- Communicate with courts, financial institutions, and beneficiaries regarding estate and trust matters.
- Assist with preparing and reviewing real estate contracts, leases, and closing documents.
- Conduct research on property titles, deeds, and zoning regulations.
- Coordinate closings and liaise with title companies, lenders, and clients.
- Prepare and file corporate formation documents, including LLCs, corporations, and partnerships.
- Maintain corporate records, minutes, and resolutions.
- Assist with transactional work, including contract preparation and due diligence.
- Organize and maintain case files, client records, and correspondence.
- Track and manage deadlines and court filings.
- Provide direct support to attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting correspondence, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Paralegal Qualifications:
- Associate degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies is preferred.
- Minimum 3 of experience as a paralegal, preferably in estate planning, probate, real estate, or business law.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software. LexisNexis and Westlaw are preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with court procedures, e-filing systems, and legal documentation processes.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
