We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO and API within our manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring that our products and services meet the highest quality standards across all stages of production, including supply chain.


Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS):

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO, API, and other relevant standards.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular internal and external audits to ensure adherence to the QMS and implement corrective actions as needed.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and analyze areas for improvement within manufacturing processes including plasma cutting, welding, robotic welding, hydraulic assembly, electrical assembly, and paint operations.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and track progress through key performance indicators (KPIs).

Product and Service Quality:

  • Oversee quality control processes for all production stages, from raw material inspection to final product testing.
  • Develop and manage inspection protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Ensure that field service operations maintain high-quality standards and address any quality issues promptly.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality inspectors and engineers.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control processes, test results, and non-conformances.
  • Prepare and present quality reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.

Customer Relations:

  • Address and resolve customer complaints and quality issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their quality requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Manage warranty claims and ensure efficient resolution.

Supplier Quality Management:

  • In conjunction with the Supply Chain Team, evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
  • Conduct supplier audits and work with suppliers to develop and implement improvement plans.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct training sessions for staff on quality control procedures, best practices, and the QMS.
  • Stay updated on the latest quality management techniques, industry trends, and technological advancements.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the quality control processes.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality among employees.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field required.
  • Certifications in quality management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) are highly preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing ISO, API, and other quality management systems.
  • Experience leading field service operations and managing warranty and revenue-generating customer work.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to manage changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Project management experience leading large-scale projects from planning to completion.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards, API, and other relevant regulations.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is required.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Working Conditions:

·        This role is primarily based in a manufacturing environment.

·        May require extended hours including weekend work to meet production targets.
