Duration: Contract

Work location : Louisville, KY (Permanent remote)

Description:

The CMDB Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and this role is focused on the Database, Mainframe and Facilities classes.


The day-to-day activities involve overseeing the processes related to configuration items (CIs) and ensuring that the CMDB remains up to date. This includes regular communication with the data owners and standing governance meetings to ensure data validation & accuracy; monitoring for data gaps; working with data owner(s) to remediate those gaps; review and manage the relationships between the CIs by providing guidance to the data owner; ensuring new CI records adhere to established guidelines.


This role will also research any issues raised, provide recommendations for resolving the issues and drive the remediation process to success completion. As well as recommending enhancements and improved processes to support the CMDB and the data owners. This may include identifying / documenting requirements for development, creating / executing test cases, and driving the enhancement through to success release into the production environment.


ServiceNow experience required and knowledge of / experience with ITIL practices preferred.
