Matern Staffing is hiring a QA Manager for a global food manufacturer in Stafford, Va.


Food – it’s what fuels our bodies and delights our minds As a QA Manager you’ll use your excellent attention to detail, effective collaboration skills, and strong food and safety knowledge to implement programs that meet high quality and safety standards for fresh and packaged foods.


The QA Manager collaborates with teams across the company to implement and uphold quality assurance programs in alignment with the company's quality strategy and standards. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality foods to consumers is a key responsibility.

Salary: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00

What You'll Do:

• Follows, enforces, and monitors GMPs and food safety plans, including USDA and FDA standards • Trains and leads QA staff and employees across shifts about proper sanitation, food handling, testing, labeling, and respective tracking performance indicators

• Maintains and initiates recordkeeping and KPIs for QA department such as food safety, sanitation, regulatory agencies and stakeholders

• Verifies and documents finished product labels

• Conducts and submits environmental, raw materials, and finished product testing for analysis

• Collaborates with QA Leads and Managers about preventative or corrective solutions

• Administers facility inspections and audits

• Ensures a streamlined and safety conscious movement of ingredients and finished products throughout the production areas

• Assists with communication and problem-solving efforts using feedback from customers, departments, and vendors

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience

• Previous experience with USDA FSIS, FDA and FDA Seafood processing and regulations

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with employees at all levels

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent time management, prioritization, and attention to detail

• Calmly and efficiently adapts, sees the potential for opportunity when challenges present themselves
