Lead Production Technician

Location: Seattle, WA

Insight Global is searching for a Lead Production Technician to join a leading manufacturing client. The role involves leading production technicians to complete daily production plans safely and efficiently, directing sanitation efforts to keep equipment, plant, and grounds presentable, and maintaining accurate inventory numbers through validation and finished loads.

Description

  • Direct and schedule daily production activities, review and confirm production numbers, and perform facility inspections and audits.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment repairs, and expedite repairs when necessary.
  • Lead the production team to develop new techniques to increase yields, minimize breakdowns, and maintain product quality.
  • Enforce company, environmental, and safety policies, including proper PPE usage, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain open communication with collections for efficient raw material flow, and verify and submit monthly production reports with recommendations.

Must Haves

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong computer skills (Excel/Word), and strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs; frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, kneel, climb ladders, and squat; work at heights up to 35 feet, in confined spaces, and in adverse conditions.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Self-motivated, detail-focused, organized, dependable, team player, and multitasker.
  • Class III Steam Engineer or IV Boiler Fireman Certification (or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment, if you don't already have it)
