About the Company:

Are you a talented Structural Engineer looking to make an impact in the construction industry? We’re seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our client’s growing Construction Engineering Services team. This full-time position will be based in our Plantsville, Connecticut office, with no remote option available.

About the Role:

As a Structural Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting all phases of the construction process, from brainstorming conceptual designs to ensuring safety on-site. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to perform cutting-edge design engineering, develop plans, review calculations, and manage project schedules to meet client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design and engineering for bridge erection & demolition, cofferdam design, critical crane lifts, staged construction analysis, hoisting and jacking, and deep foundations.
• Structural analysis of temporary conditions for bridges, buildings, tunnels, viaducts, and other structures.
• Temporary bridge and trestle design, excavation support, soil anchoring, and marine engineering.
• Develop falsework, pile driving, and micro/mini/rock-socket pile designs.
• Drafting and CAD for design documentation, and on-site engineering support.
• Evaluate existing structures for construction loads and demolition planning.
• Perform and review structural calculations, ensuring adherence to industry codes and client criteria.
• Assist with project management, estimating, risk mitigation, quality control, and client communication.
• Mentor and train junior engineers, including E.I.T.'s, and provide on-site inspections and support.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).

- 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.

- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or eligibility within the U.S.

- Experience with temporary structures and/or construction engineering is required.

- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BlueBeam, and Finite Element Analysis Software is a plus.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

- Ability to access all areas of construction sites across varying climates and environments.
