- Bachelor’s degree + 3 yrs. of experience in drafting, designing or revising in 2D OR associate degree + 5 yrs. of experience in drafting, designing or revising 2d
- AutoCAD, PDF, Excel

- Shipbuilding/maritime background
- Propulsion or machinery systems background
- 3D experience in AutoCAD
Day to day:
This person will be sitting on the machinery engineering team.
- Receive drawings that are assigned to them to do updates based on what the navy wants to incorporate/change and in accordance with design development guidelines.
- These drawings can be legitimate drawings of the ship where they will figure our how to remove large machinery from the vessel
- They can also be on pdf/excel form where they will work on tables and lists of machinery that needs work done.
- All edits and updates will be in 2d**
- Going through a VFI (Vendor furnished information) list and seeing which pieces of equipment need lubrication like oil and updating that on the list
- Looking at tech or operational manuals
- Taking information from vendors and putting it on a spread sheet or creating tables in AutoCAD
- Oversee the progress within a drawing.
- Participate in internal and external meetings with the navy.
- Help support engineers in removal routes drawings (this is a legitimate drawing of the ship where they have to plan and design how to remove large machinery around the other equipment)
