Rehabilitation Technician

ESI is now hiring a Rehabilitation Technician in the Palm City, FL area.
POSITION SUMMARY:
ESI is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician who is responsible for assisting in the implementation of rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist or Rehabilitation Specialist.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, or related field required.
- Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation or clinical setting is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Compassionate demeanor and genuine interest in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, push a cart, or lift during the entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, including small packages and supplies
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the implementation of rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist or Rehabilitation Specialist.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities prescribed in treatment plans, ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions, providing guidance on proper techniques and adjusting exercises as necessary.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound under supervision.
- Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any observed changes or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of rehabilitation areas and equipment.
- Educate patients on exercise routines, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physicians.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respect at all times.
