Location: Raleigh, NC (with travel throughout the Carolinas and Virginia)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Multifamily Construction Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the construction of multifamily residential projects, starting with a significant development in the Raleigh, NC area. This role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage all on-site activities for multifamily construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and local codes.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, laborers, and other construction personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and overall project delivery.
  • Quality Control: Monitor construction processes and materials to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and practices on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks.
  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Budget Management: Track project expenses, manage change orders, and collaborate with the project manager to maintain budgetary constraints.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports, addressing any issues or delays promptly to maintain project momentum.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent in multifamily residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Carolinas and Virginia as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on multifamily projects.
  • OSHA certification and other relevant safety training.
