Civil Design Engineer

LHH is working with a client in Murrells Inlet, SC that is seeking a Civil Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading a variety of engineering design projects related to residential and site infrastructure development.

(This role is on-site with no remote or hybrid option at this time.)


Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify and review models, plans, details and drawings of engineering systems and design components according to established standards
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of residential and site projects of advanced complexity in relation to overall site drainage, grading, and infrastructure constraints
  • Implement specific project design criteria and coordinate with project design teams consisting of Engineers, CAD Designers and Technicians, and Sub-consultants (if necessary) to successfully complete a project
  • Coordinate and assist the Project Manager(s) with overall project schedules and budget constraints for assigned projects through completion
  • Responsible for Quality Control review of design elements and overall project deliverables prior to external release


Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; Certification in CAD software and specific Civil 3D platform
  • 10 years’ experience related to specific CAD and Civil 3D software required, with at least 5 years’ experience in detailed land development engineering; GIS experience is preferred
  • Willingness to learn and expand responsibilities
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office platforms
