Job Title: Transportation Planner/Coordinator (After-Hours) (Assistant Manager level)

Overview:

Our customer, LG Electronics USA, depends on consistent & sustainable logistics for their customers through apt Smartbench/TMS usage, rule driven operations and appointment scheduling flows. Transportation Planners are responsible for providing on-time visibility to carriers for coverage, real-time communication for on-time pickup, and unifying the warehouse & carrier for on-time shipping.

Primary Responsibilities

  • data and assess orders that are due/overdue and will be completed that night
  • loads to carriers on-time in Smartbench
  • pickup appointments on time based on an equal hourly capacity
  • loads to Warehouse Management System on time
  • up with carrier and warehouse to maximize on-time truck arrival & shipping
  • up with carrier to secure same day or next day recovery
  • delivery appointment reschedule requests on time
  • events during transit, such as accessorial charges
  • and submit daily closing report regarding missed pickups, recovery/rescheduling status, remaining overdue orders, and how to clear them out

Requirements

  • degree or equivalent preferred
  • in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is a plus
  • years of experience in data entry
  • years of customer service experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or procurement
  • to work occasional overtime hours
  • in MS Excel (intermediate or better preferred)
  • with Supply Chain Management Systems (TMS, WMS preferred)
  • verbal and written communication skills
  • and team player
  • problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize tasks during time-sensitive situations
