AV Systems Designer

Our client, an AV systems design and consulting firm, has an immediate need for a Senior to Mid-Level Audio/Video/Controls Systems Designer.


In this role, the Senior Audio, Video, and Control (AVC) Systems Designer will contribute to the design of systems and draw on resources from Project Management, Design Documentation, and Engineering to create, document, and deliver compelling systems that are built upon a solid foundation of rigorous engineering.


Responsibilities:


  • Create/supervise creation of designs elements and engineering documentation
  • Work with Engineers to evaluate and specify the right equipment for each project
  • Create/Review technical documentation for assembly, use, maintenance, and disposal of electronic systems 
  • Document/Review design requirements and suggested tolerances and evaluate materials and parts 
  • Design/Document/Review electronic systems 
  • Act as subject matter lead for projects including building relationships with stakeholders and clients, ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, communicate with project team and assign tasks.
  • Lead and actively participate in Field installations including supervise/direct installers and occasional installation of equipment as required.
  • Speaker, Projector, Display calibration 
  • Show Control Programming 
  • User Interface development 
  • Media Installation support
  • Training and mentoring junior engineering and/or design staff
  • Contribute to development of company engineering design and documentation standards  


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in technical theater, engineering, or related field
  • Experience in audio/video/controls for themed entertainment or related entertainment technology
  • Proficient with MS Office and basic computer/tech knowledge
  • Experience with most or all of these preferred: AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, Bluebeam, Mapping Matter, EASe, Winscript, 7th Sense, Brightsign, IP Networking 
  • Q-SYS Certification preferred
  • Dante Certification preferred
