GSS has over 30 years of experience bidding Divisions 10, 11, and 12 which include but is not limited to toilet partitions, restroom accessories, wall protection, lockers, visual displays, fire protection, appliances, projection screens, window shades and blinds.

Granite State Specialties (GSS) is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator/Sales to join our estimating department.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·        Evaluate and understand bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that all details have been reviewed to provide clients with an accurate price quotation.

·        Solicit pricing for materials, equipment, and subcontractors as needed.

·        Submit well written and proper RFI's to clients in a timely and professional manner.

·        Submit proposals to GC’s in a timely manner.

·        Assess cost effectiveness of products and installations as projects develop.

·        Complete scope reviews and buyout process when necessary

·        Follow ups on jobs quoted.

·        Hand-off meeting of awarded projects to Project Manager

·        Continuously striving towards building rewarding Vendor relations


Qualifications

·        Experience in Division 10 and 12 is a must.

·        Experience with the following software is preferred: On Center Takeoff.

·        Associates/bachelor’s degree with 5 years or more equivalent experience.

·        Ability to read and understand Architectural Plans, Specifications, Addenda, Bulletins, etc.

·        Must have good record keeping skills and ability to meet required deadlines.

·        Must have keen attention to details, strong logical problem-solving abilities, communicate clearly.

·        Great computer skills, leadership abilities

·        Self-sufficient

·        Wants to be part of a team and work with others.
