We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer for a civil engineering company in the Locust Point Baltimore area. Experience in stormwater management design is highly preferred. This is a direct hire position with full benefits and hybrid flexibility.


Responsibilities:

  • Create scale drawings using computer-aided design or drafting systems (CAD) or by hand as needed
  • Produce documentation, details, drawings, or specifications following company standards and jurisdictional standards
  • Generate information about schedules and take off quantities. Collaborate with Project Managers to create budgets, proposals, and project schedules
  • Conduct research of relevant codes and gather site-specific data from online resources such as zoning, soils data, environmental information, real property data, and any other available
  • Coordinate with Sr. Designers/Project Managers on daily work assignments and work schedules
  • Attend industry functions and obtain continuing education credits to maintain a professional license

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer preferred but not required. Candidates pursuing professional licensing are encouraged to apply
  • CADD experience preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in design work including the preparation of feasibility studies, quantity take-offs, and site engineering-related construction plans. Experience with public and private sector clients
  • Computer skills should include AutoCAD, Civil3D, and/or Microstation. Understanding and practical use of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated knowledge of site/civil engineering principles, practices, and methods
  • Strong mathematical aptitude to support the creation of various calculations for site-specific work
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently or within project teams
