Great American Restaurants is seeking a Training and Development Coordinator to join the Support Center team. As the Training and Development Coordinator, you will support all areas of Human Resources as required, with a primary focus in the areas of training and development. Successful candidates will have fanatical attention to consistency and detail, be committed to excellence, always maintain a positive and professional demeanor, and be self-driven in their pursuit of continuous improvement. This full-time onsite position requires a 45–50-hour work week.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Ownership and maintenance of Great American Restaurants’ training and development materials.
  • Ownership of the creation and maintenance of the Learning Management System content and user setup.
  • Facilitate the hourly training programs by supporting the restaurants in proper management of following training program design, training hours, classes, and meetings.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of manager training and development programs, including writing training schedules, producing necessary training materials, tracking program completion progress, and coordinating/scheduling ongoing manager development classes.
  • Responsible for initiating feedback surveys for all aspects of hourly and manager training and development programs, compiling results, and sharing with leadership for strategic analysis.
  • Assist in the execution of hourly and manager orientation program, including providing all necessary training resources and supplies.
  • Ensure 100% compliance of Food Safety Certification requirements for all Managers. Facilitate ServSafe and other county specific testing to keep all manager certifications current.
  • Assist with New Restaurant Openings by creating training documentation, creating and facilitating testing, and organizing the tracking of all related labor.
  • Assist in the facilitation of on-site pre-employment testing for management and support center candidates.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources; assist with research, projects, etc.
  • Perform all Human Resources related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Results oriented with demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and control project tasks and deliverables.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to represent the company with a high degree of professionalism and promote a positive company image.
  • High level of comfort with Microsoft Office programs and Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience with set up and implementation of Learning Management Systems a plus.
