Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer


12 month + contract and is onsite 4 days a week in Longmont, CO


**No C2C or CTH**


Description:

Our client is a leading player in the semiconductor industry, specifically in the design and production of memory and storage solutions. They are looking for a Software Engineer with some DevOps experience (High Tech) to focus on developing multiple types and categories of software including end-user applications and operating systems and utility software, that provides a platform for running end-user applications.


Duties:

  • Conducting requirements gathering and analysis to understand the domain of the software problem or functionality, the interfaces between hardware and software, and the overall software characteristics.
  • Using programming, scripting, or database languages to write the software code.
  • Supporting software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements.
  • Applying knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining firmware pipeline.
  • Responsible for some code testing and maintaining their CI/CD code; developing the CI/CD flow and testing the integrity of the flow.


Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • 3+ years of Python, Shell, and Groovy.
  • Must have Linux experience; experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Groovy) and Linux storage environments.
  • Experience working on SSD or hard drives is a plus.
  • Working knowledge with databases SQL, Postgres, or SQL Server.
  • Experience in working with backend programming (e.g., node .js)
  • Should have familiarity working with Scalable application frameworks, and application of in-memory databases.
  • Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, and problem-solving skills



Compensation:

$65-70/hr W-2
