Sondhi Solutions is partnered with a Fort Wayne based software company in need of a seasoned Network Engineer.


This is a a full-time, onsite position that is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship or C2C.



The experienced Network Engineer will help administer and maintain our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise networks that include Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switches, and routers, as well as a strong understanding of emerging technologies.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Design, configure and maintain complex enterprise networks utilizing Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switches and routers, Zero Trust, and other emerging technologies
  • Design, configure, and deploy VPN technologies, including site-to-site VPNs and remote access VPNs
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure network and security solutions are integrated and aligned with business requirements
  • Provide tier II/III level support in troubleshooting network-related hardware and software
  • Analyze traffic to detect and troubleshoot network-related problems and incidents
  • Conduct regular network documentation, including network diagrams, inventory, and configuration management
  • Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and products that improve network security, performance, and reliability
  • Travel may be required, 5% or less, and short durations, 1-3 days, for new project deployments


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience designing, deploying, and managing complex enterprise networks
  • Strong experience in Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switches and routers, VPN, Zero Trust, and other emerging technologies
  • Hands-on experience with SolarWinds and Cisco Defense Orchestrator
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex network-related issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical issues
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and manage multiply projects, and multiple domains simultaneously
  • Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus
