Job Summary:

R3 Health is a dynamic and fast paced healthcare environment. We are seeking a dedicated and holistic-minded Medical Assistant to join our functional medicine practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about integrative health, supporting our healthcare team in providing personalized care that addresses the root causes of illness. This role involves a blend of clinical and administrative duties aimed at enhancing patient wellness through a comprehensive approach to healthcare.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in computer programs, included but not limited to: Microsoft Office programs, adobe, google suite, and electronic health records.
  • Previous experience in healthcare is preferred, though not required.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to HIPAA Policies.
  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, focusing on creating a welcoming environment.
  • Assist medical practitioner in recording detailed patient histories, including lifestyle, diet, and stress factors.
  • As needed take and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and body composition metrics.
  • Assist in preparing patients for scheduled appointment, ensuring all necessary information and lab results are available to both the medical provider and patient 24-hours prior to scheduled appointment.
  • Prepare examination or procedure rooms for upcoming appointments.
  • Assisting in appropriate clinical set up for specific appointments (wrinkle relaxer, filler, regenerative injections, etc.)
  • Assist medical practitioners in cleaning examination or procedure rooms after patient visit.
  • Maintain proper documentation of patient care plans, including supplement and lifestyle recommendations.
  • Fulfill patient orders with both in-office supplements and with partnered pharmacies.
  • Provide patient education on R3 Health’s recommended patient care plans, virtually or in-person, including relevant blogs, instructions, and videos.
  • Schedule patient appointments as needed, in coordination with recommendations from medical consultations (follow-up appointments, dietitian appointments, IV or other in-office clinical appointment).
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in the electronic health records (EHR) system.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, facilitating clear communication about and questions pertaining to treatment plans and follow-up care.
  • Provide on-going support to patients by following up regularly via phone, text, or email.
