Company Overview:
Our client is a leading manufacturer in the HVAC insulation industry, specializing in thermal insulation solutions for both construction and HVAC applications. Our product line includes XLPE, NBR, Reflective Insulation, and Acoustic Solutions. They are currently launching a new startup plant in Greenwood, SC, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations.
Role Overview:
The General Manager will be responsible for the successful operation of a new state-of-the-art plant producing thermal insulation products. This includes overseeing production, quality control, staffing, financial performance, and operational efficiency. The role requires a strategic leader who can manage cross-functional teams, ensure the alignment of operations with business goals, and drive continuous improvement across all plant activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the new startup plant in Greenwood, SC.
- Lead and manage direct reports, including the Plant/Maintenance Manager, Human Resources, Director of Finance and Administration, Director of Supply Chain, and Director of Sales.
- Drive plant performance to meet production goals, operational targets, and quality standards.
- Manage plant budget, financial forecasting, and cost control to ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to align production with market demand.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Implement and monitor sustainability initiatives in production processes.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Leverage expertise in filtration extrusion production to maintain high-quality manufacturing standards.
- Foster a positive work culture and provide leadership and mentorship to plant staff.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS Degree (preferably in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field).
- Experience:
- 10+ years in an executive-level role within the construction and HVAC insulation sector.
- Expertise in technical aspects of filtration extrusion production.
- Proven track record in leading operations, managing budgets, and driving financial performance.
- Strong understanding of sustainability in production processes.
- Experience managing large-scale operations with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the Dubai market or familiarity with Dubai's business and political environment is a plus.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Advanced financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- In-depth understanding of HVAC and construction insulation products (XLPE, NBR, Reflective Insulation, Acoustic Solutions).
