Responsibilities

Initiate claims with insurance carriers and obtain documents and records required to prosecute the claim

Communicate with physicians' office for clients'[ treatment and medical records

  • Review and draft routine legal documents and pleadings
  • Answer interrogatories
  • Set up and confirm depositions
  • Create and maintain case files
  • Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
  • Conduct legal research
  • Prepare the file for trial. Prep exhibits. Schedule witnesses
  • Prepare settlement documents
  • Obtain information regarding liens


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience with personal injury litigation as a legal secretary or paralegal
