Compensation: Hourly rate, $20-$25/HR
The Women's Resource Center (WRC) has been a vital part of the San Diego community for 50 years, providing comprehensive support services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Our mission is to empower individuals and families through safety, healing, and education.
WRC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Grant Writer to join our team. This role is essential for securing funding to support shelter updates, transitional housing repairs, program enhancements, and ongoing operational needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successful grant applications and the ability to effectively communicate WRC's mission to potential funders.
- Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with WRC's mission and strategic priorities.
- Write compelling and tailored grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data and program information.
- Ensure timely submission of grant applications and compliance with funder requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, deadlines, and outcomes.
- Assist in tracking and reporting grant performance metrics and outcomes.
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of awarded grants.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Familiarity with issues related to domestic violence and sexual assault is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with grant management software is a bonus.
