We are looking for an attorney with 0-5 years’ experience to join our collaborative and collegial six-lawyer team. Our ideal candidate is a concise and thoughtful writer who is passionate about the underdog, has moxie, humility, and a sense of humor. This position provides an opportunity to collaborate with and support some of the top trial attorneys in the Pacific Northwest. Because of the size of our firm, our associates gain valuable experience in the court room, with clients, and at depositions early in their careers.  

 

General responsibilities:

-       Drafting and responding to significant motions, including motions for summary judgment.

-       Arguing motions.

-       Taking and defending fact and expert witness depositions.

-       Client intake and meetings.

-       Second or third chair trial duties.

-       Drafting and responding to discovery.

-       Conducting legal research.

 

Minimum qualifications:

-       Member in good standing of the Washington State Bar (or eligible for reciprocity); membership in Oregon State

Bar is a plus.

-       Excellent academic credentials.

-       Law Review and/or judicial clerkship preferred.

-       The ability to travel overnight as necessary.

No billable hours.
