Your Role:

The Sanitation Tech performs the duties as a sanitation associate which include the cleaning and sanitation of all product contact equipment within the facility and other essential functions.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work safely and report all safety concerns to supervision immediately. Follow safety rules as it relates to Personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow all Company Health and Safety Policy guidelines and Company Safety Policy guidelines and ensure all team members are following Policies.
  • Keep area clean and organized. Properly maintain and secure equipment ensure you have the proper equipment needed to perform tasks. Understanding of what tools and equipment are taken into the manufacturing environment and ensuring all tools are accounted for when tasks are complete.
  • Pre-rinse, wash and sanitize product contact equipment per company standards.
  • Visually inspect equipment prior to beginning sanitizing process and afterwards to ensure proper reinstall and no damage during the cleaning process. Complete sanitation log following each wash. Set up line and all equipment to company standards prior to a production run.
  • Work directly with sanitation leadership to correct cleaning deficiencies that may exist after inspection.
  • Communicate and work with production to ensure that Shutdown and line release to sanitation meets the standards set.
  • Understanding and use of cleaning chemicals. Aspects which include safety, measurements, and applications of the chemical.
  • Responsible for ensuring on-time starts by providing hygienic environment so product can be produced in accordance to Company safety policy guidelines.
  • Apply basic math principles as they relate to product usage and dilution rates.
  • Understand and Perform tasks that require equipment safety, lockout/ tag out, properly covering moisture sensitive equipment tightly.
  • Properly Clean and Sanitize all filling equipment and product contact surfaces in all production areas.
  • Perform additional assistance with tank cleaning.
  • Effectively complete daily duties as assigned by lead.
  • Sanitize manifold area per instructions.
  • Clean and sanitize drains.


SKILLS, ABILITIES and EDUCATION:

  • Possess excellent attention to detail including neat and legible handwriting.
  • Professionalism and excellent communication skills required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds to perform incoming material sampling.
  • Must have excellent attendance record in current position.


SPECIAL SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Must maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety rules.
  • Must adhere to wearing all PPE and safety equipment required.
  • Must be knowledgeable about all safety equipment needed to perform duties in a safe manner.


SCHEDULE:

  • Availability for both the 1st and 2nd shifts.
