Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Project Management Consultant to support our prestigious client in the renewable energy industry. In this key position, you will coordinate daily project activities across multiple battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, ensuring seamless integration from pre-construction through to execution. Your expertise will be vital in aligning internal and external resources to meet technical, financial, and scheduling objectives, while navigating the complexities of large-scale energy projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate highly matrixed project development teams to prioritize activities aligned with project schedules.
  • Collaborate with environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, and interconnection teams to incorporate all project variables.
  • Develop and optimize project technical scope to enhance technical and financial feasibility.
  • Support PPA and GIA negotiations and address jurisdictional requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement needs for project success.
  • Assist in the development of designs with the E&C engineering team.
  • Contribute to financial model development and ensure alignment with market data.
  • Present financial models for executive budget approvals and manage ongoing financial health.
  • Source, negotiate, and execute contracts for critical services, including geotechnical and engineering.
  • Represent the E&C’s interests across assigned projects, ensuring smooth transitions into the Construction phase.
  • Provide regular updates and risk mitigation strategies in management meetings.
  • Oversee the turnover of projects to Construction Project Managers with executable plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably within renewable energy or battery projects.
  • Strong familiarity with electricity markets and renewables is preferred.
  • PMP Certification and advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across various stages.
  • Occasional travel is required to support project locations and public hearings.
