As an Electrical Test Technician, you will be responsible for testing, aligning, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic, mechanical, and optical sub-assemblies and equipment. You will also provide technical assistance, training, and problem-solving support to fellow team members, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.


Responsibilities:

  • Test and troubleshoot at a component level; identify and repair faults by checking components, soldering, or replacing parts as necessary.
  • Set up, perform, and analyze experiments and tests according to pre-arranged product test procedures.
  • Analyze and diagnose faults in the operational configuration of electronics systems and equipment to the PWA level.
  • Operate test equipment such as digital multi-meters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators.
  • Proficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits to the component level.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on product changes and development.
  • Perform root cause analysis of nonconforming products.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree preferred, but equivalent experience may be considered.
  • One to five years of relevant experience, with training or experience in test or experimental operations acquired in the military or technical schools being highly desirable.
  • Certification in electronics/soldering or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of basic electronics concepts such as Ohm’s Law, OP-Amp circuits, and AD/DC converters.
  • Proficient in using equipment like oscilloscopes, voltmeters, digital multimeters, function generators, ATE, and programming tools (ICD 2/3/4, CPLD, J-link).
  • Desired skills include Linux and DOS programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and troubleshoot down to the component level on complex circuits.
