Core Expectations:

  • Lead the interior design vision and direction for all projects, from concept through to completion.
  • Develop interior design concepts and strategies that align with project goals and preferences, ensuring high-quality design execution.
  • Oversee and coordinate with project architects, construction managers, and the in-house design team to refine design options, materials, and finishes.
  • Manage and mentor the entire interior design team, ensuring task allocation, team efficiency, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Source and specify fixtures, finishes, and materials locally and internationally, ensuring selections meet budget and aesthetic requirements.
  • Create and manage detailed project timelines, budgets, and reports, adjusting as necessary to stay on target.
  • Lead the team to prepare detailed drawings, sketches, and 3D renderings using design software to communicate ideas and finalize designs.
  • Oversee construction administration to ensure designs are executed accurately, coordinating construction details.
  • Collaborate closely with the real estate sales team, assisting in buyer communications, answering questions, and coordinating upgrades or specific buyer requests.
  • Utilize strong task and time management skills to maintain productivity and efficiency within the team, ensuring project milestones are met.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, materials, and technology to incorporate innovative solutions in projects.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in interior design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Enscape, V-ray, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of construction project management, with experience in construction administration.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and budgeting skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team of designers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in interior design, preferably with residential or community development projects.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, capable of establishing strong relationships with team members from the interior department and other departments within the company.
  • NCIDQ certification is a plus, along with any relevant design accreditations.
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English is preferred, to support a diverse team and project base effectively and to coordinate material sourcing in China.
