Plant Engineer

Our client is a leader in consumer products manufacturing: expanding operations locally (600M+ in revenue); recently renovated site with multiple new product launches.

Plant Engineer/Maintenance Manager will lead a maintenance transformation, focusing on preventative / predictive maintenance, while also leading capital projects as the plant continues to automate to meet growing demands of this flagship location.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Plant Performance - Addresses unplanned down time in a safe and timely manner. The breakdown is followed with a formal Failure mode analysis and corrective preventive actions. KPI – PEE Machine reliability > 85%. Fix the issues not the processes around them.
- Budgets -Responsible for meeting site maintenance labor, equipment and parts expense budget.
- Work as a cross-functional leader providing a positive team spirit, supporting everyone’s efforts to safely meet business needs and changes.
- Lead the implementation of a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) process. Eventually move toward predictive maintenance.
- Lead the improvement of spare parts management to better utilize maintenance management software and tools.
- Actively participates in the New Product Development and Capital improvement Projects.
Position Requirements:
- Must Have a BS in Engineering.
- 7 -10 years’ experience safely leading maintenance in a fast-paced large manufacturing environment.
- Thorough understanding of plant, machine, hydraulic, electric and automation maintenance.
- Experience with implementation and use of a maintenance work order system.
- Proactive communicator from the plant floor through senior management.
- Strong problem solving and corrective preventive action implementation.
