We’re seeking a Colorist to manage color for our socks business for our largest retail partner. This person will lead processes to ensure the highest standards are maintained. They will work with the Director of Product Development and their team. The ideal candidate is solution-driven with the ability to prioritize and execute within deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage color calendar
  • Lead the CTL process to ensure standards are met for retail partners
  • Own the submission process, including sending and tracking submission reports
  • Communicate via email with external vendors
  • Identify colors accurately through using understanding of color theory (hue, value, chroma, etc.)
  • Learn and leverage new systems and tools such as the Spectrophotometer
  • Lead team members in color related projects
  • Effectively communicate and strategize direction with cross functional teams


Qualifications:

  • 2-5years of experience in color and material grading
  • Bachelor's degree in fashion studies/merchandising, textiles studies, fine arts, or related field
  • Working level knowledge of fabrics associated with the development process
  • Munsell Color Test accuracy
  • CTL experience preferred
  • Spectrophotometer machine preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (ex. Excel) and Adobe Suite (ex. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) tools
  • Disciplined and organized to follow set processes accurately
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration with skills
  • Assertiveness and positive “can-do” attitude


Annual salary starting at $65,000
