Senior Software Engineer (Java) - W2 ONLY


Optomi, in partnership with a leading energy company focused on providing safe, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions to customers, are seeking a talented Java Developer to join a dynamic team. As a Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that drive efficiency and innovation within our organization. You will work on cutting-edge projects that leverage Java, Spring Boot, and AWS technologies to deliver scalable and reliable applications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Utilize AWS services and technologies to build and deploy cloud-based applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough testing to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve skills and contribute to the advancement of the team.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Java Developer, with strong proficiency in Java programming language.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot framework for building enterprise Java applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and experience working with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Certification in Java programming or AWS is a plus.
