Position Description

As the Safety Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel on our construction sites. This individual will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.


Responsibilities:

􀂇 Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure

compliance with safety regulations and standards.

􀂇 Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored to specific project needs.

􀂇 Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

􀂇 Provide safety training and orientation for new hires and ongoing training for existing employees.

􀂇 Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and regulatory compliance.

􀂇 Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and workers to promote a culture of safety and ensure the

integration of safety practices into daily operations.

􀂇 Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety

equipment.

􀂇 Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal safety regulations and industry best practices.

􀂇 Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.

􀂇 Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the company􀍛s safety

management system.


Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor􀍛s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field

preferred.

􀂇 Certifications: Relevant safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA 30-hour, FDOT Advanced M.O.T.) are highly

preferred.

􀂇 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within the construction industry.

􀂇 Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations.

􀂇 Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the

ability to train and motivate others. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

􀂇 Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software. Ability to work

independently and as part of a team.

􀂇 Travel: Willingness to travel to various construction sites as required.
