Water Treatment Engineer

FlexTek has taken on the search for a Water Treatment Engineer with one of our leading clients. They are located in the Northwest Houston area and are looking to get someone started soon. The main objective of this role is to oversee and maintain all utilities within the plant and ensure they are working properly.

** This is an entry level role, but we are looking for at least a year or more of expereince in utility engineering. **

This role is 100% on-site, direct hire, located in the Northwest Houston area, knowledge of water treatment/wastewater, and overall, someone with the right attitude to go far in their career. Below are some additional responsibilities and requirements for the role.

Responsibilities:

• with Operations to manage production systems within specifications.
• chemical treatment programs, recommend changes and identify optimization opportunities.
• problems in the plant relating to utilities.
• lab testing to spot check system metrics.
• all environmental impacts relating to plant operation.
• system quality checks and preventative maintenance.
• calibrations on various system sensors.
• the overall water treatment process and waste production.
• in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure operations are performing at optimal levels
• other duties as required to maintain the cleanliness of the facility.

Requirements:

• degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• years of utility engineering expereince
• with closed loop and wastewater chemical treatment program is a huge plus
• working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
• in Spanish is a HUGE plus
