Retail Loans Product Owner
Duration: 11 months plus (possible extension or conversion)
Location: HYBRID W/ ONSITE REQUIREMENT – 3 days onsite

We are seeking an experienced Retail Loans Product Owner to lead and manage the development of innovative retail loan products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in retail loans, loss forecasting/stress testing, CCAR (Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review), and CECL (Current Expected Credit Loss). You will be responsible for guiding the product development process from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development & Vision: Initiate the development process, define the project scope, and articulate the product vision. Prioritize user stories and set feature-level priorities to ensure the product meets business goals.
- Collaboration & Communication: Drive alignment with peer product teams and coordinate with stakeholders to represent the voice of the customer. Ensure that the product meets both business and technical requirements.
- Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain a product backlog that reflects the needs of the business and customers.
- User Story Management: Hold yourself and Business Analysts accountable for writing stories and tasks that meet the Definition of Ready, ensuring they are clear, actionable, and aligned with product goals.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Oversee and perform user acceptance testing to identify and resolve defects. Approve final testing results before product release.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Understand and act on stakeholder priorities, ensuring that the product aligns with business needs and delivers value.
- Technology & Business Expertise: Leverage your relevant business expertise and technology literacy to guide the product development process, making informed decisions that balance customer needs with technical feasibility.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven hands-on experience in retail loans, loss forecasting/stress testing, CCAR, and CECL.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage product teams, driving alignment and collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Literacy: Sufficient technology literacy to engage with technical teams and ensure product feasibility.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable product features.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate the product vision and align cross-functional teams.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
