The position will be a hybrid schedule, with three days onsite and two remote.


The Litigation Services Manager will manage and lead approximately 25 litigation case managers and legal assistants in the firm's New York, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco offices.


DUTIES:

  • Provide support, advice and guidance to the litigation case teams and personnel
  • Schedule staff for associates and educate new attorneys about best ways to engage the litigation staff
  • Assist in developing and implementing initiatives for the litigation team, including the potential usage of generative artificial intelligence in litigation and discovery
  • Coordinate coverage and provide support for the team
  • Share knowledge about team bandwidth and initiatives with management and other members of firm administration
  • Assist in the recruiting, onboarding and and development of new hires
  • Conduct yearly performance reviews, assist leadership with determining salary adjustments and bonus recommendations
  • Review and monitor utilization and business function of the group and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide input on department and firm policy
  • Investigate new technology that may be useful for the litigation case teams and assist the firm leadership in decision-making on its potential implementation


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of eight years of complex litigation experience in a large law firm or legal department
  • Extensive experience with litigation specific applications and processes
  • Proven record of personnel and team management
  • At least 8 years of hands-on eDiscovery experience
