Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight Broker in Sales to join our growing team.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and transportation, with a proven track record of acquiring new customers and driving sales growth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying their freight needs, and coordinating logistics solutions. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build long-lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Development: Identify and reach out to potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
• Freight Coordination: Match shippers with suitable carriers, negotiating rates and terms to meet both parties' needs.
• Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
• Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise during the shipping process and provide timely solutions to clients and carriers.
• Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation and compliance requirements are met for each shipment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, specifically within freight or logistics.
• Strong understanding of LTL freight services, pricing structures, and industry regulations.
• Proven track record of successfully acquiring new customers and achieving sales targets.
• Strategic thinker with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
