Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for all marketing functions for the organization, including branding, graphic design, and marketing, as well as various professional development events to increase sales and member participation. This includes creating and implementing a 12-month marketing plan for the organization and creating social media content, digital and physical marketing materials, email marketing content, and various additional marketing and public relations responsibilities. Collaborate with team members to ensure organizational goals are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS
Marketing & Advertising Management
- Schedule and manage email marketing campaigns targeting members, non-members, and business partners, including writing copy and designing layouts.
- Manage social media platforms, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, through writing and scheduling posts, interacting with followers, and monitoring analytics data.
- Edit, write, and execute communications that reflect the characteristics of AASPA, considering targeted market segments and revenue and expense objectives.
- Design and update annual advertising and sponsorship materials.
- Communicate on-site with exhibitors and sponsors to encourage advertising with the organization.
- Utilize and support member engagement platform to generate revenue and meet association goals.
- Manage organization’s website and update website as needed based on analytics, including copy, media, graphic design, and other content.
- Attend in-person professional development events to capture photos for marketing, advertising, and promoting of the association.
- Assist with hotel branding, media capture, and awards.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Supports the state affiliates by presenting knowledge of marketing best practices and provide marketing resources.
- Edit event and association video.
Asset Creation & Brand Management
- Collaborate with team members to develop and design marketing materials for professional development, membership, and general organizational needs.
- Design quarterly magazines, program books, and other publication projects.
- Identify ways to generate interest for internal and external stakeholders to align with association goals.
- Communicate with business partners year-round on advertising opportunities.
- Utilized association AMS for advertising and invoicing
Public Relations
- Create and distribute communication about organization events, leadership, recognitions & awards, and various projects to appropriate outside audiences.
- Manage association Podcasts and Video production projects
Strategic Execution
- Execute strategic plan initiatives as directed.
- Generate reports sharing progress and activities related to the strategic plan and association goals.
- Execute 12-month marketing plan for association.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree, with a focus in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Previous Experience:
1-3 years of related marketing, graphic design and communications experience.
Prior experience using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with base knowledge of full Adobe Suite.
- Travel: Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.
Preferred
- Previous experience with associations, Association Management System (AMS).
- Knowledge of website platforms, survey programs, Zoom and mobile apps preferred.
- Prior experience with HTML coding.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
● Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs
Basic audio and video editing skills
Proficient in the use of social media platforms and ability to manage such platforms
