Weitz & Luxenberg is currently seeking an accomplished attorney to join our esteemed team in our Cherry Hill, NJ location. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of litigation experience.



Responsibilities

  • Represent plaintiffs in asbestos litigation cases with professionalism, empathy, and dedication;
  • Manage a caseload from initiation through resolution, including investigation, client depositions; deposing other witnesses as needed, opposing motions for summary judgements and preparation for trial as needed;
  • Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings;
  • Collaborate with the team to develop effective legal strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients;
  • Effectively communicate with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information.


Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school;
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of New Jersey;
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience;
  • Demonstrated Expertise in litigation, with a focus on asbestos cases preferred;
  • Trial Experience either as first or second chair, is highly desirable;
  • Proven track record in plaintiffs’ personal injury cases, particularly asbestos related matters;
  • Exceptional writing, research, analytical, and communication skills;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple cases while accommodating each client’s medical treatment schedule;
  • Possess a sense of empathy towards asbestos victims and adeptness in guiding them through the deposition process.
