Sr Buyer

LHH is partnering with an Aerospace Manufacturing client in Camarillo, CA to find their next Sr Buyer/Buyer III. Ideally this person will have their Bachelor Degree + 3yrs of buying experience or 7+yrs of overall buying experience, has the ability to calculate business formulas, such as discounts, interest, commissions, and strong negotiation skills. This position is fully onsite in Camarillo, CA and pays up $85k - $110k depending on experience.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Manages procurement for production, including purchasing, RFQ/RFI, bid analysis, and purchase order preparation.
• Communicates effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Executes MRP actions for assigned commodities and ensures timely supplier performance.
• Manage Supplier performance to contract.
• Monitors metrics, assesses market conditions, and implements supply chain strategies.
• Leads cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborates with other departments for supply chain support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 3 yrs of buying experience OR 7+yrs of buying experience in manufacturing or equivalent.
• Strong communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and business mathematics.
