Summary (Position Description): The Manufacturing Process Technician will be responsible for the supporting manufacturing processes within the plants by maintaining BOM’s and compressor parts, supporting the quality initiatives, while maintaining the growth of the organization as necessary. Act as a technical liaison between the Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Inventory teams. Manufacturing Process Technician will support efforts on process improvements and new product launch.



Reports To: Manufacturing Engineer

Status: Full time,


Duties & Tasks.

Support the production and processing of the product on the manufacturing lines including new product additions

Work closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Teams, Quality and Purchasing to ensure customer order requirements are met while maintaining the standard set by the Bitzer Global examples.

Root cause analysis investigations. (8D / 5Y)

Participate in continuous improvement efforts and cost reduction initiatives.

Collaborate with peer group to maintain or exceed production expectations.

Role model employee for compliance to the highest levels of quality, safety, performance, attention to detail, data driven problem solving, planning and organization.

Communicate with internal team members keeping them aware to the organizational and cultural expectations.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Understanding of manufacturing and production processes

Experience with Macola

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good mechanical intuition

Willingness to challenge status quo.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact well with people

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Ability to maintain numerous activities personally and within team in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines with frequent interruptions

Ability to function as a team player within a diverse group and the capacity to work independently under minimal supervision.



Requirements:

Experience with Macola is beneficial

Knowledge of compressor manufacturing process

Experience with Microsoft Office applications

OSHA Safety Training for Industrial equipment and operations is beneficial.

Experience in commercial or industrial refrigerant equipment is a plus




Work Environment:


This job is performed in a professional office environment. It also requires time on the shop floor with machining, assembly, and material technicians. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.


Physical Demands:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk on the shop floor, travel to and from supplier locations, and physically tour supplier production environments
