Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining web and mobile UI applications, with React.js and other web technologies. You will be tasked to design and build new applications, as well as features and fixes to existing ones. We are a research and innovation organization, so you will be expected to propose designs, prototype, and develop features without exact visual designs. The ability to take initiative and improvise is essential.
1. Job Knowledge and Skills:
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in modern web development stack, including JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js
- Bachelor’s degree preferably master’s or PhD
- Experience with React Native
- Experience with web communication
- Experience writing unit tests, as well as automated end-to-end tests.
- Experience with UI libraries (Material UI, Bootstrap, etc.)
- Comfortable Wireframing solutions without extensive design oversight – optionally with specific tools like Figma
- Experience with containers (e.g. Docker)
- Experience managing multiple demanding deadlines and being able to work across multiple teams
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in an agile environment.
Bonus Points
- Experience in autonomous vehicle space
- Experience with mapping libraries
Notes
- Involved for a few years working on the user interface, and understanding how to build the user interface. React is the tool, but need someone to build
- You will be expected to propose designs, prototype, and develop features without exact visual designs
- Want 5+ years, don’t want to be training. Project: Finished vehicle logistics Autonomy FVLA – in general – Parts come off the production line – drive to different areas – This is a work process that they want to automate
- Car come off the production line and drive themselves to wherever they need to go
- Plug a piece of equipment in to control, sensors along the way to tell them where the vehicle is, and software to tell the car where to drive
