Reports to: VP of Procurement
Job Description:
To support the day-to-day activities of Purchasing team members at the corporate and affiliate offices.
Job Expectations:
- Enter price changes from vendors in computer.
- Expedite/track purchase orders via email and telephone.
- Check PO confirmations for pricing discrepancies.
- Look for substitute products as necessary due to backorders.
- Perform cost comparisons and analysis.
- Review invoice discrepancies.
- Process product returns.
- Reduce slow moving inventory.
- General “system” cleanup/maintenance of items.
- Process sample requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or in a team within an open office environment.
- Self-motivated.
- Willingness to put in extra effort.
