Purchasing Administrator

Reports to: VP of Procurement

Job Description:

To support the day-to-day activities of Purchasing team members at the corporate and affiliate offices.

Job Expectations:

  • Enter price changes from vendors in computer.
  • Expedite/track purchase orders via email and telephone.
  • Check PO confirmations for pricing discrepancies.
  • Look for substitute products as necessary due to backorders.
  • Perform cost comparisons and analysis.
  • Review invoice discrepancies.
  • Process product returns.
  • Reduce slow moving inventory.
  • General “system” cleanup/maintenance of items.
  • Process sample requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team within an open office environment.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Willingness to put in extra effort.
