Overview

TalentoHC has partnered with a leading multinational HVAC, refrigeration, and fire and security equipment corporation seeking a Technical Writer within IT who will develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software, systems engineering, operations, testing, and user guides. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise to gather and analyze technical and product information from diverse sources. This ensures clear and up-to-date documentation for new and evolving product functionality.


*HYBRID: 3 days in office*


Responsibilities:

  • Independently research and develop technical documentation for products across their lifecycle, including sales materials, installation guides, service manuals, and user guides.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to departmental style guides and formatting standards for consistency and user-friendliness.
  • Analyze product functions and operation through in-depth research.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering teams to gather comprehensive product details.
  • Analyze data, synthesize, and present it clearly and concisely.
  • Review layouts and create technical illustrations to enhance user understanding.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all documentation to ensure technical correctness.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with FrameMaker or InDesign is preferred for efficient and high-quality document creation.
  • Preferred experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create clear and informative technical illustrations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts at a level appropriate for the target audience.
  • Strong proficiency in organizing, editing, and proofreading written materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively evaluate and synthesize technical information.
  • Understanding of electronic publishing and graphics production principles
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills
