A leading market maker is seeking an experienced execution trader to enhance execution latency for options market-making strategies. This role involves close collaboration with trading and technology teams to optimize performance and improve market liquidity.


Responsibilities:

  • Enhancing Trade Fill Rates: Develop and implement strategies to improve fill rates on competitive trade opportunities through advanced hardware and software solutions.


  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with networking, data center, hardware, and software teams to accurately measure critical timestamps and reduce internal latency.


  • Market Data Analysis: Analyze tick and packet-level market data, along with market access information, to identify opportunities for trade and algorithm improvements.


  • Technical Understanding: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the impact of options exchange protocols, network architecture, and matching engine behavior on fill rates.


  • Collaboration with Development and Trading Teams: Work closely with developers and desk traders to define requirements, test implementations, and deploy solutions across various options market-making desks.


  • Data Pipeline and Dashboard Development: Build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards to analyze the performance of initiatives and provide comprehensive reporting to project sponsors.


Requirements:

  • Experience in low-latency market-making execution strategies
  • Options/Derivatives trading experience (~8 years)
  • Expertise in market microstructure and exchange messaging (market data & market access) on CME, Eurex, and/or SEC options exchanges.
  • B.S. in STEM subject from a top-tier university (or related Engineering field)
